Integrating Technology and Archaeology

The Mid-South Archaeological Conference is an annual event highlighting current archaeological research within the Mid-South and Lower Mississippi River Valley. This year's meeting will follow the theme "Integrating Technology and Archaeology" and will explore the ways new technology has changed, benefited, and hindered the field. Both professionals and students are welcome to attend. The conference is being organized by Weaver & Associates, LLC, and will be held at Rhodes College on June 18 and 19 in Memphis, Tennessee. The keynote address will be given by Evan Peacock of Mississippi State University and is titled "Laser Beams and Stranger Things: Where is 'High-Tech' Archaeology Leading Us?".
